In this Tiny World Series we will focus in on creating a swimming sea turtle against the an abstract water color based background. Our entire drawing and painting will be done within a circle. We will first start off with drawing our circle and creating a the borders for our ocean wonder. Next, we will learn to draw a sea turtle with detail as it swims beneath our azure water. Next, we will create abstract objects and brush strokes to create motion and mood and then finish off with details. Students will follow each, step-by-step, and learn different techniques to apply, not only to this drawing, but to other artwork as well. Students will then learn drawing techniques as well as how to paint with water color. In the end, students will have a fantastic, tiny world captured. Everyone is encouraged to share and comment on each other's work. No prior art skills are required but it is highly recommended that the supply list is followed.
