In this Tiny World Series we will focus in on our majestic mountains and lakes and create a tiny landscape inside a circle. We will first start off with drawing out circle and creating a shoreline. Next, we will learn to draw evergreen tree silhouettes and majestic mountains with peaks and crevices. Next, we will create a wooden dock over top of a clear mountain lake and then finish it off with detail. The trees and the tall mountains will then be drawn in the reflection followed by clouds, stars and a moon to represent a night sky. Students will follow each, step-by-step, and learn different techniques to apply, not only to this drawing, but to other artwork as well. Students will then learn shading and coloring techniques if they choose to enhance their artwork. In the end, students will have a fantastic, tiny world captured. Everyone is encouraged to share and comment on each other's work. If time permits we may draw other tiny worlds as well! No prior art skills are required but it is highly recommended that the supply list is followed.
