Students will learn to crochet a simple scarf using some easy stictches. Lefties and righties welcome! Students should have a little experience, they should know how to do a chain stitch.

Class Experience
Students will learn to crochet their first scarf using yarn and a crochet hook. Taking my first Crochet a Chain Stitch Daisy is helpful for new students. If you don't see a time that works for you, please let me know and we can add the Daisy Chain Stitch Class at a time that works for us all. You’ll learn how to hold a crochet hook (lefty or righty) How to make a chain stitch, and single crochet stitch How to count stitches How to make rows of stitches How to add yarn and change colors How to bind off the yarn at then end of your scarf.
Students will be expected to practice their stitches in between the 2 classes. Just 10 minutes a day can help a lot! :)
You will need a small ball of yarn (look for worsted weight or something that seems “normal” to you. Nothing too fancy), a crochet hook (size H, I, or J is good, but anything that’s not too small if just fine), and a pair of scissors. At least 2 different colors of light colored yarns are better for beginners. No navy, black, dark purple please! Variegated, or yarn that changed colors is also a good choice.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Be aware that we will need to use scissors.
