Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 7
Intermediate Level
This 4 lesson course will teach your learner how to make their own crocheted stuffed toys! This fun class starts with the basics & then encourages students to build on that with their own ideas.

Students will be expected to already know single & slip crochet stitches, as well as how to weave in yarn ends & sew pieces together. If students are new to crochet they should take my beginner level class first.

NOTE: Learners should have the dexterity to use a crochet hook & yarn without assistance. There is also a decent amount of counting involved. If a student struggles with counting I recommend buying a stitch/row counter, which will help them keep track.

Learners will be expected to purchase supplies & tools that they will use to complete class projects.

Please see the attached Syllabus for details on each Lesson.

Supply List: Learners will be expected to have yarn & a crochet hook before the start of the first class.
* your yarn can be any color you like; I recommend something that is not fuzzy or loose in texture for learning on; you will likely need at least a couple of colors throughout your projects in this class
* your crochet hook should be the size listed on your yarn label, or a size smaller (it is recommended to have several hook sizes)
* sharp scissors for cutting the yarn
* a blunt yarn or tapestry needle
* at least a small amount of black yarn for adding things like mouths & other details to your toys
* plastic safety eyes in a few sizes for adding faces to your toys (these can usually be found in variety packs)
* stitch markers
