Working with chain creates beautiful, professional-style jewelry that looks very sophisticated but is actually quite easy to do! Students in this class will discover how easy it is to work with chain, jump rings, and professional jewelry pliers to create individual beaded links that they will then connect together with chain segments to create custom, stylish pairs of earrings. Class discussion will include how to make accurate measurements, how to use professional jewelry pliers and materials such as jump rings and earring hooks, and how to consider different styles and color combinations when creating our art. After just this one class, students will have the knowledge and skillset to keep making amazing chain jewelry for years to come! This class is a great option for both students who have never made any earrings before and students who know how to make simple dangle beaded earrings and are looking to expand their skills. This class is also a great next-step for students who have taken my class "Intro to Making Professional Beaded Earrings". This class is ideal for any student who: • Wants to explore making earrings for the first time • Has made simple earrings before and wants to experiment with new designs • Wants to start a business selling jewelry • Wants to have fun making earrings For students who are already comfortable making earrings and are looking to advance their skills further than what this class offers, check out other classes I have available here on Outschool, or send me a message about arranging a custom private lesson. What to expect when you sign up for this class: • This class is for any student who has a passion for getting started or getting better at jewelry making. No previous experience is required! • The class outline is for students to make two different pairs of earring pairs within the class time, and students are given additional ideas throughout class for more designs to experiment with. • Students will learn the most important skills of earring making so that they can continue creating new earring designs long after our class together. • Each step of creating our earrings is carefully explained, and within each step students can work at their own pace. • As the instructor, I have two cameras up: a regular face camera and a second close-up camera on my hands so that students can see the close-up details of every step. • Class sizes are kept small to ensure that all enrolled students receive personalized attention and instruction, helping every growing jeweler excel. • Students are asked to keep their microphone off so that everyone can hear instructions clearly, but we also turn our mics on throughout the class to share thoughts, answer questions, and share our work. • If students need more time to complete a project even as class time is coming to a close, students will have the choice to stay a few minutes longer to finish their work. There's no rush when creating art!
