I am using American Sign Language as a visual guide to help children recognize and remember their numbers 1-20. Learning sign language numbers we will be using visual cues with the number, word, and sign along with repetition. We will be using flashcards and quiz games to make it fun! Students will be learning all the signs for numbers as well as recognizing them on paper and counting. They will also learn descriptions of how to sign numbers, and later in the lesson play a number counting...
This class is taught in English.
To learn ASL numbers 1 to 20 and learn the phase "I can count 1 to 20!" "I can count my numbers!"
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will be using outside websites such as Google to assist in learning, playing interactive games and tools to help manage slide show presentation, flash cards, videos and quiz games.
