Class Experience

Beginner Level
The enrolled students are expected to watch the tutorial videos posted by the instructor and then ask a parent or guardian for assistance in the kitchen. Then, the students are to follow the recipes provided by the instructor to prepare each dish correctly.

This course is asycn, self paced and easy to follow. My teaching style is teaching through guided practice and applications. Students will learn how to prepare at least 3-4 different meals.

Learning Goals

Students will learn how to prepare various types of dishes within 5-8 weeks duration. These dishes include; a French Omelette, a Grilled Cheese Sandwich with a side of Apple Sauce, etc.

Syllabus

3 Lessons
over 3 Weeks
Lesson 1:
"How to Make an a French Omelette"
 My lesson is about teaching kids how to prepare a French Omelette. Students will master whisking eggs, melting butter, cooking in a non-stick skillet and plating the finished French cuisine. 
Lesson 2:
"How to Make Easy Apple Sauce"
 My lesson is about showing the young cooking students how make easy Apple Sauce. Students will learn how to measure ingredients, utilize kitchen appliances carefully, mix ingredients and discover flavor. 
Lesson 3:
"How to Make a Banana Pudding"
 My lesson is about the difference in homemade banana pudding and the cold banana pudding alternative route. The students get a chance to learn as I share through dialogue my expertise on making instant custards and over the stove custards. Lastly, the students will see what the finished product will look like. 

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Always have a parent or guardian present in the kitchen to assist with the handling of sharp utensils and heavy machinery.
Supply List
This may include the ingredients and cooking utensils for each recipe.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
