In this one time class, students will learn how to make chocolate cupcakes and chocolate buttercream from scratch. The recipe I am using is egg free. Dairy free and gluten free recipes are provided, along with suggested products. All ingredients should be pantry staples, and easy to find at a local grocery. I try to keep everything as simple as possible. Students are welcome to bake during class or afterward. I will cover every step of the process, both with slideshow and live help. All recipes and an ingredients list will be in the classroom. This class is focused on flavor, not decorating. So no decorating skills or equipment are necessary.

Parental guidance will be necessary while students use the oven.
Supply List
Ingredients will be posted in the classroom, but everything should be easy to find. Supplies include: cupcake pan, cupcake liners, mixing bowl, measuring cups and spoons. Helpful, but not necessary: stand mixer or hand mixer.

I have two sons with food allergies, and friends with food allergies. I needed a dessert we could all enjoy safely. I started looking into cupcake recipes, but many included difficult to find ingredients. So I started making my own recipes.
