I will provide a document with the words learned in class and with fun activities for your child to practice further at home.Class Experience
In our 30-minute class, your child will learn how to describe the weather using Spanish words. This class is an A1 level based on the CEFR. First, I will introduce six different types of weather. Your child will then learn to describe the weather using a complete sentence. To reinforce learning, we will act out each type of weather and make a drawing. We will have fun by asking the question ¿Cómo está el clima? (How is the weather?) and responding accordingly. My classes are limited to five students so that each one will have an equal opportunity to practice and receive timely correction. I am a native Spanish speaker and an ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) certified teacher. My Puppet friends and I can't wait to learn some fun Spanish weather words with you!

Parental Guidance
Parent involvement depends on the child’s learning habits and age. Kids ages 4 to 6 may need some support in the first couple of classes while they get familiar with Zoom and class activities. Older kids usually do well on their own; however, some supervision helps when they have difficulty focusing or if they get distracted easily

¡Hola! My name is Profesora Mary, and I am excited to help your child learn Spanish.
I truly love working with children with my puppet friends: Pancho, Beto, Moño, and Lucía. Your child will love learning Spanish — at their pace — while playing games and singing songs with me and my friends. Your child will also have fun through my use of many props, including puffy animals, toys and more.
My ultimate goal when I teach is to make sure that my students obtain the skills to communicate in Spanish. I do this while making sure that my students have fun while learning. My class activities help students connect the learning material to their own world, facilitating language acquisition.
Teaching and learning languages are two of my passions. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to combine them and make them my profession. There is no other job that I could enjoy more, and I love to share my enthusiasm and energy with students in my classes.
I have worked very hard to be a qualified teacher, and I have achieved this through online and in-person teaching experience and by obtaining a number of certificates related to language instruction and teaching young learners. I am a certified ELE (Español como Lengua Extranjera - Spanish as a Foreign Language) Teacher and a native Spanish speaker.
I am a mom and some of my hobbies include learning languages, making crafts and playing the flute.
I look forward to helping your child learn!
