US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Beginner Level
This class will teach your learner the vowel letters and their sounds. Using fun stick puppets, student will learn a story about each of the Vowel People. The story will make the sound "stick." In addition, a hand gesture accompanies each sounds. For example, Old Man E says "eh" and you put your hand to your ear as you make the sounds. By engaging multiple senses children are able to retain information so much easier. This class will include a FREE set of Vowel People Stick puppets. Since this class is Self-Paced, watch as many times as you'd like! This resources fits nicely with the Orton-Gillingham phonics approach to teaching phonics, which most schools use. It is great for beginning readers or those who need remediation. It is geared for all students including those with special learning needs. This class will last for approximately 20 minutes, but you may watch it over and over again as you wish. I will be available for you to contact should you have any questions or need me. I will offer feedback as needed. Please expect me to be available as often as you need. This class is a one time, Self-Paced class. The Class video lesson follows includes the following: Introduce the Vowel People puppets Teach the hand motions that accompany them Show student how to write the vowel letters Game - What's the Letter?
