40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this 40 minute class, students will learn how to identify any of the 88 keys on the piano. Students will learn the difference between the black keys and the white keys and will understand how they are grouped. To best learn, we will be playing a couple games to make sure students are remembering which key is where! As an extension, students will also be able to follow along where the sounds of each key would be placed on the treble clef staff, though that isn't our main goal! Finally, all students will learn a very simple, song "Merrily We Roll Along" on the black keys and on the white keys!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Greetings, friends!
This is Miss Lea from New Hampahire! I am a passionate teacher of both music and early childhood learning. I teach primarily music classes and private lessons but also have a huge heart for global language and communication.
I hold both a Bachelors and Masters degree in education and am certified in K-12 music. I also hold a TEFL certificate which means Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
I believe that education is more than the classes you take or the homework you do. True education lies in the heart of the learner and can only be reached to its fullest potential when the learner takes ownership and accountability for their learning process. Beyond that, learning should be FUN! I aim to make all my classes and lessons interactive and enjoyable. I want to know my student as a whole person and strive to get to know them beyond classroom.
Outside of the classroom, I am a mom of three kids under the age of 2. Needless to say, I have lots of energy! I have an almost 2 year old and 6 month old identical twin girls. I also love to run, be outside, cook, and listen to podcasts. I can not wait to see you in class!
With Love and Gratitude,
Lea
