Homework
1 hour per week. Homework may not be the same topic that we covered in class, it all depends on what we feel needs or wants to be worked onProgress Report
What we did during the lesson, what went well, what needs to be worked on (ex: is still having trouble with prepositions, etc.), and if any homework was given that will be mentionedClass Experience
US Grade 5 - 8
What will be taught? -Everyday vocabulary -Vocational vocabulary (vocabulary on certain topics of their choosing) -A light amount of grammar such as prepositions and conjugation of verbs -If requested more intense lessons for general vocabulary building ( ie: words native speakers would learn in school from vocabulary workbooks ) which also comes with a few other exercises to work on different skills all wrapped into one lesson -A heavy emphasis on every day conversation as school tends to not teach that skill -Pronunciation -learning idioms -Reading articles together on topics that interest the student or that are relevant to what we're discussing -If requested we can sit and read a short chapter book together which works on many things all at once What topics will we cover? -In regards to conversations, basically anything that interests the student, even if it's light debating on specifics topics. How is the class structured? -It depends; it can vary from lesson to lesson or if something specific is requested and there's an interest to work on said thing in the long term then we'll structure the classes around working on that. How will you teach and what's the teaching style? -I'll teach by letting the student do more than half of the talking, asking open ended questions to get their opinions on things, and letting them try to figure out the answers themselves ( with the exception of when they can't find the correct word, they won't be allowed to look up the word, they'll have to describe it to me and I'll tell them the word ). If there are certain words or concepts that a student can't remember or understand then that's okay, as long as they learn one new thing each lesson and do their best to use it in the future then that's good enough. No one is perfect, no one will remember everything being taught, and if something is clearly distressing a student I'm not going to keep pushing them to try to learn it. How will we interact? -Most of the ways were listed above, but I do also use word search puzzles where the student will have to find the words and some grammar exercises

Learning Needs
As someone with ADHD I'm well aware of different people learn at different speeds and in different ways. My semi-structured approach, student led pace of classes and long term repetition of material tends to be helpful.
Pre-Requisites
As long as you are A2 or above you're welcome to my classes! I would suggest that if a student is A1 they should start learning with someone native to the students language until they are A2, then they should switch to a native speaker.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Sources
If an ongoing general vocabulary class is requested then we'll be using the website for the most commonly used vocabulary workbook in American schools, which has all the vocabulary words and definitions. If there is need for extra grammar work then various virtual worksheets will be used. Articles may be used from various websites if necessary and access to books is to be determined depending on the situation.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have 20 years of child care experience and 12 years of teaching the English language. I've taught people as young as four years old and people as old as 75 years old. I've lived in two different countries where English wasn't the native language for a total of 8 years. I've taught virtual kindergarten one to one as a volunteer, taught English virtual as a volunteer and also as a paid position, and also worked in daycares and did in-home general tutoring as paid positions.
