Class Experience

Beginner Level
Bonjour mes amis et bienvenue! In this class, students will learn basic French through fun and interactive games and lessons. As a former French EA, I have experience with students who have never spoken French before, to absolute pros. This class is designed for kids who have very little to no understanding of the French language. Each class we will start by reviewing the date/introducing ourselves and will finish with a review of topics from the class prior. We will cover new topics each week.

Week 1 (week of the 23rd of June) theme/topic: How to introduce yourself in French, check-in (how are we feeling today? Bien, comme si comme ca, mal?) counting up to 20, days of the week, alphabet, review.

Week 2 (week of 30th of June) theme/topic: (Review of week 1-alphabet, days of the week) counting up to 40, les couleurs.

Week 3 (week of the 7th of July): (Review of week 1/2-les couleurs, alphabet, days of the week) Counting to 60, shapes.

Week 4 (week of the 14th of July): (Review of week 1/2/3-les couleurs, alphabet, shapes) Counting to 80, rooms in a home (kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, garage, etc).

Week 5 (week of the 21st of July): (Review of week 1/2/3/4-les couleurs, shapes, alphabet, rooms in a house) Counting to 100!

Week 6 (week of the 28th of July): Complete review of all we learnt in previous weeks.
Learning Goals
The goal for my students is to be able to identify shapes, colours, emotions, days of the week, and rooms in the home by the end of class. Students will also be able to count to 100 and introduce themselves in French with confidence.
