Students will gain access to a variety of quality, age and skill specific text to increase their exposure and practice with literary features. Participants will gain a reading tool kit that can enhance comprehension, accuracy, fluency and extend their vocabulary.

With a passion for seeing how reading and reading with confidence can inspire the lowest reading student I truly enjoy giving students reading tools to become successful readers. I am a professionally certified NYS instructor with over 10 years of experience and student growth. My students have become stronger reader and at time at rates that help them to close gaps. Teaching reading is fulfilling and gives me joy to know that I am giving someone a tool enjoy adventures, explore worlds beyond their own, unlock their dreams and access to become all they want to in life.

Homework Offered
We suggest a way to reinforce what was experienced in the class that learners take 20-25minutes a day to read a book. It can be a comic, their favorite book or series over again. We do encourage variety, so try switch things up to keep it fun and fresh. Students will have access to the reader's theater pieces to print and use at home or school. 
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
