Class Experience
Together, we're going to learn piano basics while learning to play some favorite songs. We will cover basic music theory, how to read music, and how to play chords. Students will be introduced to a new song each week, and will also have plenty of chances to review and apply new material through games and activities that support learning. Absolute beginners are welcome in this class, and no background knowledge is required! Each student will be given an appropriate challenge for their level....
I have taught piano lessons in an online format for years and students love my fast-paced lessons and fun, engaging style. I believe that learning music should be as fun or as serious as the student wants it to be, and I enjoy inspiring young people to develop their musical abilities!
1 file available upon enrollmentI will provide music printout pdfs for each of the songs we cover, as well as additional activities and games as they apply. Students should at minimum have a small keyboard they can practice on; a full keyboard or piano is not essential.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
