Class Experience

Hi!

Thanks for checking out my class! I am a handwriting specialist and occupational therapy assistant who helps kids daily with handwriting skills in fun and creative ways!

In this fun and sensory driven class, your child will learn proper capital letter formation while playing in shaving cream. Your child will be gaining a full sensory experience while following along with me making letters, words, shapes and pictures. Each child will have an opportunity to share their work and use their imagination.
Learning Goals
In this class students will learn the basic pre writing strokes needed in order to successfully form each letter. Depending on each students level we will practice a variety of words, their name, upper/lowercase letters and even create pictures from their imagination. Immersing children in a full sensory experience as they are learning a skill will assist with their recall of how each shape/letter is formed and also create and fun environment for them; helping them to see writing as less of a chore and more of something that they enjoy!

Here is the week by week session plan:

Week 1: Shaving Cream Letters
Week 2: Playdoh Letters
Week 3: Finger Paint Letters
Week 4: Sprinkle letters
Week 5: Pom Pom Letters
