Class Experience

In this flexible schedule class your children will learn and explore capital letters through sensory play. Your child will grasp correct identification and formation of capital letters through a fun learning experience.

Your child will be provided 6-7 capital letter worksheets each week of this class to be completed Monday-Saturday.

Your child will be instructed to fill in each letter with a proposed material set by the teacher each week. These materials may include: cereal, sprinkles, paint, glitter, cotton, paper crumbles, pom poms, pipe cleaners, etc. The materials used will be fun and easily obtainable so this class does not require much prep time for parents.

Your child will enjoy filling in large outlines capital letters with the materials that the teacher notes each week. The teacher will ask each child to participate in a "hunt" around their home to find an item that fit's the teacher's description such as can you find "RED" items to fill letters "A-D or can you find "SOFT" items to fill in letters "A-D".

Your child will then post pictures of their 5-7 letters assigned for the week in the classroom to share their beautiful work and they will also have the opportunity to share which material they enjoyed working with the most that week.

The teacher will review and comment on each child's work each Friday and will post in the classroom frequent reminders and fun encouragement to continuously engage and interact with the children each week!

The teacher will also post a video each Friday, talking about the materials used that week and asking the learners to identify different senses that we use for each item such as asking: "Who used an item that is soft?" "Who used an item that you can smell?" This will promote further interaction during the class experience.

This class will be easy set up for parents and a fun, independent learning experience for kids on their own schedule!

Week 2: Letters "H-N" using HARD items to fill in each letter
