Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Beginner Level
This class is taught by an occupational therapist. This class is perfect for my youngest learners. We meet once a week, focusing on one group of letters each week. Each week we will review letter formation for each group of letters. Then, we will play a game or complete an activity focused on those letters.

I use Handwriting Without Tears and the Size Matters Handwriting Program as my basis for all of my classes. I keep my classes structured but relaxed. I try to create a comfortable environment where my students are not afraid to make mistakes, where we can cheer each other on, and where we can laugh together. Handwriting is a complicated skill and it is my goal for it to be fun.

Disclaimer: I am a retired occupational therapist with 20 years of experience working with children. On Outschool I offer my services specifically in the role of handwriting instructor. My classes should not be considered therapeutic nor take the place of occupational therapy interventions by a licensed therapist.
