K-pop is becoming popular globally, as is the Korean language. This course aims to introduce learners interested in the Korean language to simple phrases and vocabulary using lyrics from popular K-pop songs. In each class session, we will be evaluating one song. A few select portions of the song's audio will be selected, and we will spend the class time learning vocabulary from those sections of the lyrics. At the end of class, we will watch the video together to listen out for the words...
Students will learn simple Korean phrases and grammar points through K-pop lyrics.
10 years of learning Korean, highest possible level (Level 6) on Korean Proficiency Exam (TOPIK).
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Music videos will be carefully screened by the teacher to ensure the content is age-appropriate.
