In this play-based class, your learner will be introduced to 12 Kindergarten sight words in a way that is fun and interactive.

Learners will be introduced to 12 Kindergarten sight words in a fun and interactive way! The class structure will be similar to circle time, starting off with songs to welcome learners and get acquainted with names. We will then jump into learning our sight words which will be divided into two sets. Each set will be introduced to the learners before we play a game. I will hold up each word and have the learners repeat it. Once everyone is comfortable with the words we will play a game. There are two different games, one for each set of words. Set 1 (Act it Out): down, up, jump, run, look, funny Set 2 (Scavenger Hunt): pretty, red, blue, little, yellow, play After the games, we will review all 12 words at once. Then, class is dismissed!

Hello and welcome! I'm Inez or Ms. Inez.
I have worked with children professionally for 20+ years in a variety of capacities from running day camps to directing after school programs and teaching character building curriculum both in the public schools via assemblies and in the non-profit sector.
I focus on Kindergarten readiness for young learners (number & letter recognition, counting, etc.), sight words for Kindergarten & first grade and social skills for all levels.
My teaching style is energetic and engaging.
I am also a homeschool mom and veteran Outschool parent! My first grader has been taking Outschool classes for nearly two years and, at this point, it is our primary source of schooling. My experience on the parent side, has given me a lot of exposure to different teachers and I've seen first-hand what works well here.
I believe that a love for learning is one of the greatest gifts we can give to children. People who love to learn and have the skills to learn are unstoppable!
