Beginner's Japanese course, ages 7-10, with no prior experience necessary, where we will study basic Japanese sentence structures as well as learn about some of Japan's mythical creatures.

While exploring some of Japan’s ancient mythical creatures just in time for spooky holidays, we will also learn several adjectives, nouns, and the like/dislike sentence structure and the want/don’t want sentence structures. This class can be done with no previous Japanese experience but can also be taken with some language experience, as we will cover some very basic language structures as well as a few more complex and unusual words and phrases that are unique. This class is taught in English.
While no homework will be required, all materials covered in class will be sent to the parent for review and practice.
Scratch paper and a pencil to take notes will always be encouraged in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Each child will be given the Japanese version of their name. These names include a gender identifier (boys have 'kun' added to their names, while girls have 'chan' added to their names). If your child prefers a 'kun' identifier over a 'chan' (or vice-versa), please let me know ahead of time so as to be able to use the gender identifier that you want your child to have.
