Let’s learn Italian with crafts! In this one time project based language class, students will learn the parts of the body in Italian and make their own monster! This class is for children aged 5-8. Students will learn the words for: legs, feet, arms, hands, mouth, eyes, ears. Students will have fun counting the body parts. They will learn how to indentify and say the parts of the body through our project and interactive games. No prior knowledge of Italian is needed for this class. It is a complete beginner class so I will be speaking in Italian and repeating what I say in English. The required materials for the class are: - The printable worksheet with the monster body parts - Markers - Paper -Child friendly scissors - Glue or tape *IMPORTANT: the kids will have to assemble their own monster. Please help your child cut out the body parts before the start of class. They will be able to color and glue the monster together in class. The aim of this class is to learn a new language in a relaxed and playful environment. I am an Italian native speaker and I am so excited to teach your child my language. My classes are focused on learning while having fun. I want your child to learn to love the Italian language and my main goal is to create a positive learning experience. I hope to see your child in class! Important Notes : ***Class times are approximate. Class may end a few minutes late if we are finishing an activity. ***It is Outschool policy to verify the student's identity. You can turn your camera off in class, but I need to be able to see the video at the beginning of class unless the profile is verified. ***Parents need to stay off-camera because of Outschool policy. ***Students will receive some printable materials for the class. Please have these materials ready for class. All materials will be provided at least 24 hours before the start time. Thank you!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I am an Italian-American teacher who grew up between Florence, Italy and Pennsylvania USA. I am an Italian as a second language and ESL teacher with over six years of teaching experience. I am a native Italian and English speaker, and grew up in a bilingual household. I love teaching kids of all ages and throughout my teaching career; I have taught students from ages 3-18. I have been teaching Italian on Outschool for two years and love sharing my passion for languages with my students. I currently create and teach Italian and English classes in creative ways through interactive slides, games, art, and more. My greatest passion is teaching, and I want to make the classroom a fun environment for my students!
I have a B.A. and M.A. in Communication Science, a TESOL certificate, and an Italian language C2 certification. I recently graduated with my Master's in Marketing Management. I also have worked with children for years teaching multiple age groups and many subjects in English and Italian. I have created my own curriculum and have a unique teaching style which follows a hands-on approach.
My teaching style is fun, engaging and personal. I want to get to know my students and I want their class time with me to be a complete learning experience that focuses on hands-on learning.
So why study languages? Why study Italian or English? Language development is fundamental for young learners. Foreign language studies also peak curiosity in learners, both younger and older. Italian is a useful language nowadays, not just for the language but also to improve logic, language arts, and it can serve as a starting point for other Latin languages. English is a necessary language today for life and for work. I hope to bring my passion for this beautiful language into your child's life.
I offer a variety of courses. I love Outschool, because I can teach my language, but also my passions, such as marketing, social studies, and more! I hope to see your learner in my classroom soon.
