Class Experience

Learning a new language can be challenging, especially when it comes to understanding colloquial expressions. Fluency in a language requires more than just learning grammar and spelling. It's important to learn how to speak like a native speaker. Practicing with a native speaker is a great way to gain confidence and fluency in a language.

My experience as a second language teacher for over 10 years, my 30 years living in Ecuador (native speaker), and my degree in Education, will help your child achieve a better understanding of the language.

One effective way to help your student gain confidence in their Spanish is to practice and learn new expressions/sayings. This will not only help them understand the language better but also improve their ability to communicate effectively. Understanding the meaning of different expressions and how to use them in context is crucial for fluency.

In conclusion, practicing with a native speaker and learning new expressions is essential for gaining confidence and fluency in a second language. It's important to focus on more than just grammar and spelling. Understanding colloquial expressions and how to use them will help your student feel more confident and be able to communicate effectively in Spanish.

In each lesson, I will present 5 sayings through visual aids. Students will be prompted to provide examples of when they can use the sayings and construct a sentence using them. To reinforce their learning, we will use Blooket at the end of the lesson. Active participation is expected from students to improve their fluency, confidence, and pronunciation. These sessions will not be categorized by topics since they cover saying for a variety of life situations.

Hello Outschool parents. I am so honored to be able to teach your children.
Online teaching has become my ultimate passion, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with you. My name is Elena, and I hail from the beautiful country of Ecuador. I moved to the United States of America over a decade ago, accompanied by my loving husband and two adorable children.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of individuals, from the youngest of infants to the most seasoned of adults. Each age group presents its own unique set of challenges and rewards, and I have found that every single one is filled with an abundance of incredible learning opportunities.

I am proud to hold a Bachelor's degree in Education and an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. With over 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher, I have honed my skills and expertise in the field of education. In the past five years, I have been teaching online, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I have had the privilege of teaching over 3000 online students and conducting more than 7000 lessons.

As an educator, I am passionate about learning from different cultures and sharing my own culture with others. I have had the opportunity to teach English Language Learners (ELL) both in classrooms and online also Spanish as a Second Language.

During my time in the classroom, I always aimed to make my lessons interactive, engaging, and fun. I incorporated a lot of movement and provided ample opportunities for students to communicate with one another. This approach has been incredibly successful, and I have carried it over to my online teaching as well. I believe that students should be an active part of the learning process and feel comfortable in their learning environment.

In conclusion, I am excited to embark on this journey with you and help you achieve your academic goals.

I would love to hear from parents about the classes that you would like me to teach. I am open to suggestions and requests.

I can't wait to meet your children.

Teacher Elena
