In this 4-week Flex Course, we will use characters from Sonic the Hedgehog to help us learn how to subtract 1-digit numbers using pictures (also great for preschool, homeschool, and afterschool) (Autism, ADHD, ELL/ESL friendly).

Class Experience
In this 4-week Flex (Asynchronous) class we will have a blast learning how to subtract 1-digit numbers using pictures. This is a basic subtraction class (no word problems). Each week, there will be pre-recorded, engaging learning videos posted in the classroom throughout the week (Monday-Wednesday afternoons/evenings by 7 pm CT). I am a certified EC-12 teacher with nearly 10 years of experience teaching math skills to learners.
1 file available upon enrollmentAll materials needed will be supplied by me (the teacher). There are no required supplies for this class (unless the learners would like to use paper/pencil (instead of the online whiteboard)-optional). I will post a link to the online whiteboard on Wednesdays by 7 pm (CT) (can be used to solve the subtraction problems for the learning activities). Optional: Learners can post pictures of their favorite Sonic the Hedgehog characters, toys, games, clothing, etc in our classroom to increase social engagement.
No live meetings, and an estimated 4+ hours per week outside of class.
Parents please feel free to offer assistance to your learner/s if you see him/her struggling to use pictures when solving basic math subtraction problems. This will be a fun activity that we will do once per week. Instructions will be posted in the classroom each week on Wednesdays by 7 pm (CT). The learning activities are optional.
