Heidi Crocini holds a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario . Since 1999, she has been running music based programs rooted in Zoltan Kodaly's method for teaching music to children from 0 to age 12. She has facilitated programs at the Halton Waldorf School in Burlington, Ontario, the Westdale Children's Waldorf School in Hamilton Ontario, and the Victoria West Community Center in Victoria, BC. Born and raised in a musical environment. Her father, a jazz musician and multi instrumentalist, taught music while Heidi was growing up. She recalls bringing the students coffee or tea when her dad taught lessons at around age 8. For over 20 years, Heidi has trained mainly under the Bel Canto vocal style, with coaches such as Donna Ried, (Cornelius Ried's wife, famous and brilliant vocal coach in New York) Mary Allouette, Vocal Coach//Artist/Producer, and Sue Connolly, of Claim Your Voice studio, in Heidi's current hometown of Hamilton Ontario. Heidi is a singer/songwriter. She has produced 2 full length CD's of her original music, and is currently working on a 3rd electronic album. She plays acoustic guitar, and loves to write songs! Heidi teaches the basic fundamentals of voice and song writing to students, offering them tools and guidance in support of their musical journeys.
Students may need a pen/pencil and paper for song writing purposes.
