The lesson plan for this camp is as follows: Week 1 Day 1: Going through the ABCs and repeating letter sounds Day 2: Repeating letter sounds. Match and cover beginning sounds Day 3: Beginning sound bingo Day 4: Match and cover ending sounds. Week 2 Day 1: Beginning and ending sound game review and assessment Day 2: Middle sound identification game. (What do you hear at the middle?) Day 3: Create words with beginning, ending and middle sounds Day 4: Blending sounds to create words Week...
Students will be able to identify letters and recognize their sounds. They will also be able to blend letters in order to form words.
Students will be recommended books to start reading a little bit everyday. Students will be given a list of sight words every week to study and review.
Students may need index cards for their sight words.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
