Is your learner struggling with reading? I can help them learn to read with easy, fun strategies! Breaking down reading into simple steps can help your child slow down and focus on the material in front of them. This class is 25 minutes, and focuses on student engagement and participation, with lots of encouragement! In this class, we will use the "chameleon reading" tactic to observe any details in a word, or the pictures that go with it. We will share facts about chameleons during class, including that they have 360 degree eyesight, and can change color to match their surroundings! Looking carefully at the words and pictures can help you understand what you are reading. We will use our excellent chameleon eyesight to look for details we already know. If we put ourselves in the picture, we can make guesses about the words in each sentence! Come on this crazy, colorful journey of learning reading through pictures!

I have been a librarian for over a decade. In this time, I have worked with students of all ages (college to elementary) on their reading, organization, and grammar skills. I have been with VIPKid, an online ESL teaching program, for 3 years. I have been with Magic Ears, another ESL teaching program, for 6 months. In this time, I have learned to elicit total physical response while engaging young learners, teaching curriculum based on learning English as a second language.
