I am choosing to offer this class because I see a large demand for it in my salon. It is very popular amongst all school aged kids. I want to empower my students to feel confident in learning a skill many aspire to have. I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 15 years and have done hair for over 100 weddings. In the last 5 years braids have become very popular giving me many heads to practice on! I love teaching eager clients and students new skills and have had much success with this in my salon.
1. Someone or something to practice braiding on (a friend, parent, doll, barbie, mannequin, or yourself) 2. Brush 3. Comb 4. Any type of ponytail holders 5. Spray bottle of water (optional) If you do not have everything on the list that is not a problem. The most important is number 1.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
