Learners have fun with Rozine's curriculum which includes seasonal pop art, cartooning, and graphic design. During each session, students learn to create an optical illusion of a round column in a curved hallway. Rozine guides students step-by-step, drawing curved lines with pencil. She shows students which parts to color black and those that need to stay white. She then demonstrates how to shade dark areas on specific white areas, and white highlights on the black, in order to deceive the eye. The amount of finished coloring depends on the skill level of the class, as well as how many (or how few) distractions there are. Students thrive in a creative environment where they are encouraged to develop their imagination and artistic expression.

Supply List
Students will need either a sketchpad, or a few sheets of drawing or printer paper. Pencils, erasers, and a sharpie or black marker and a white colored pencil are integral to the design. Coloring utensils can be used, such as crayons, colored pencils, and/or markers, but may not be demonstrated. Students can frame their artwork by stapling or taping it to a larger sheet of colored construction paper (also optional).
