Class Experience
Love Sharks? Me too! In a stress-free relaxed environment with the company of their classmates, students will learn how to first draw and then paint a cool stylish shark in front of a huge crashing wave! They’ll also learn about color theory by mixing colors to make new colors! Students are welcomed to follow me exactly or to be creative by doing their own thing. Students will learn color theory basics by mixing colors to make new colors. How to be creative by learning how to draw and paint a stylized shark while being in the company of their classroom peers.
- Canvas: You will need a canvas (we suggest 16x20) or something similar to paint on like any art paper, or thick cardboard. - Paints: Blue, yellow, white, and black paint (at lease 1 oz of each). - Brushes: A larger paint brush 3/4" to 1" wide, a skinny brush to paint details and something in between. - Easel (optional): If you have an easel wonderful, if not you can lay the canvas on a flat surface or lean it up on something. - Paper plate to use as your paint palette. - Paper cup or glass jar to rinse your brushes between colors. - Paper towels. - Pencil - Eraser - Apron or old t-shirt to protect your favorite outfit.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
