Class Experience

Learners will have a great time drawing in this low-stress and low-prep class themed on a snowman -- perfect for the winter season! I'll walk learners through a step by step tutorial on how to draw their own version of a winter snowman scene. They will also learn how to draw additional items to include in their picture (trees, hills, moon, etc.) based on their skill level. We will also listen to some fun kid-friendly winter themed music to get in the festive mood. Finally, learners have the option to show their picture and offer compliments to others at the end of class. An optional coloring page will be provided for learners who prefer to color or trace instead of draw. Check out my Learn & Draw classes too. Learners are welcome to use paint, if they have any available.

This friendly (low-stress) Learn & Draw class offers a welcoming and encouraging environment for young learners to practice a variety skills including: speaking, listening, motor skills, and creativity.

If you don't see a day/time listed that works for you, please message me with your preferred options and I'll see what I can do. Thank you!

Hello! My name is Michelle and I'm very excited to teach classes related to English, Goal Setting, Arts & Crafts, and Personal Development. I have a BA in English, a Master's in Education, and a TESOL certification.

I'm the founder and organizer for a local parenting group, where I have facilitated many educational workshops, arts & crafts activities, and playgroups for over a decade. I'm also an experienced Public Relations and Communications specialist, so I love being able to coach learners on how to express themselves clearly. Additionally, I have more than three years of experience teaching English as a Second Language online to preschoolers and school-aged learners. My goal is to help learners to build their confidence.

My teaching philosophy infuses fun into the classroom, while encouraging students to learn while doing. I enjoy designing creative, balanced, and interactive lesson plans that encourage both educational and personal growth in learners.

I live in a beach town in Southern California with my family. I have three young children (7 years, 10 years, 12 years) and one young adult son who is in the U.S. Navy. My husband and I love to explore the U.S.A. with our children -- especially the majestic National Parks!

I hope to see you in the classroom soon! Thank you!
