Learn How to Cross Train With Bodyweight Workouts 14-18 Year Olds (Flex)

Class Experience
Need to move and get strong? Learn how to stay stable and strong with bodyweight exercises. Each week will have a different focus: core, upper body, lower body, and Jumping. There are no live meeting in this class all videos are prerecorded. Interactive slides are incorporated into each video. Each 45 minute class will include a follow along workout with a warm up, that weeks key exercises, cool down and an explanation of each movement and why that workout is effective and needed. At the end of the course students will be able to put there own workout together. This is a four week course that meets once a week. Every week a new video(s) will be uploaded with the full class. Each class will be about 45 minutes. Week one: Intro to body weight and Upper body workout. Week two: How to pick the order of exercises and Core workout. Week three: The importance of Speed Lower body workout Week four: Is impact good for you? Jumping workout. Each week students will find a exercise that matches the theme for the week and share it with the class by uploading a video of themselves demonstrating how to do it, what it dose, and why they picked it. Students will watch each others exercises and comment what is another move or exercise that would go well with it. The teacher will provide video or written feed back for each video. Students will complete discussion questions that will be posted every week and reply to one other students response. The teacher will also comment on all posts. An unscramble the workout game will be played each week by all students. In the last week students will make up a short movement sequence of five moves, record it and turn it is as their final project. Students are encouraged to try each others workout and comment how it made them feel(difficulty, enjoyment, and favorite move ). Written or video feed back will be given by the teacher. Video chat can be arranged weekly if students wish or need to have an in depth followup or has questions.

Parental Guidance
For students safety please make sure there is an open workout space.
Students can be bare foot or wear athletic shoes.
Have a water bottle near by.
Please be aware that injuries that can occur if not properly supervised in the Parental Guidance. This class is physical and needs to be followed carefully so that moments are done correctly and safely.

Hailey is a teacher, certified personal trainer, and dance instructor. She has a BA in dance studies. Hailey enjoys moving in all settings including the dancing, swimming, hiking, and biking. For the last 14 years Hailey has been teaching movement in the dance studio, swimming pool, or in the gym. She enjoys sharing her love for movement with all ages.
