In this class, we will learn to manipulate fractions into decimals and vice versa. Learners need to have an understanding of place value before entering this class. We will discuss place value on both sides of the decimal, but mainly the values behind the decimal point. I like to explain vocabulary in all my lessons! I believe if a student understands the meaning of the words than the skills are much easier! We will use simple examples and number lines as needed. I have a few websites I use to bring in virtual manipulative’s that students are able to access and actively participate. I encourage students speaking up and asking questions if they need re-explaining.
