ABOUT KELSIE, KIDZ BOP CHOREOGRAPHER: Kelsie is an official KIDZ BOP choreographer. She contributes to all of the dance moves The KIDZ BOP Kids perform on stage during the live tour, which hit 50+ cities last year. Kelsie travels on tour with The KIDZ BOP Kids to make sure they’re ready to perform on stage in front of thousands of fans each night. Kelsie is also the head dance instructor for the “KIDZ BOP Workshop,” and travels around the country teaching dance and performance techniques to children who aspire to be a KIDZ BOP Kid. Kelsie has been dancing for more than 20 years, and has been working with kids in the dance community for 13 years. She absolutely loves watching kids grow with energy and excitement when they learn a new dance move in class. ABOUT VANESSA, KIDZ BOP VOCAL COACH: Vanessa is a vocal coach based in Los Angeles and has trained extensively in the craft of vocal performance and training for over 15 years. She has toured the world as a vocalist and vocal coach sharing the stage with such artists as Idina Menzel, Gwen Stefani, Olivia Holt, and of course The KIDZ BOP Kids! Vanessa works closely with The KIDZ BOP Kids to help them sing their best with proper technical skills, stylistic choices, audience connection and vocal health. She was also the head vocal coach for the “KIDZ BOP Workshop,” where she worked closely with KIDZ BOP fans to teach them how to sing and perform live. The experience gained working with artists in studio, on tour, and on set has given Vanessa a well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of vocal performance. Helping students around the world connect with their true voice and artist self has become a unique passion and skill.
- Learners should have a secondary device for music playback (phone, tablet, etc.) as there are sometimes audio delays on Zoom. - Kids should wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement and wear shoes that are appropriate for their environment (carpet, hard floors, etc.) and also comfortable to dance in. - The learning space should be large enough to allow for movement/dancing - Students should keep water nearby to stay hydrated - On Day 2, students will be invited to step up their star power with costumes and props. They should wear a comfortable outfit and/or accessory that makes them feel like a star. Accessories that can be incorporated into choreography (like scarves and hats) encouraged!
