Description

Class Experience

Learners have the opportunity to be creative artists by making music; courageous allies by encouraging their peers; critical thinkers by analyzing historical context; confident leaders by participating and working together. Learn to love music!
Ryan is a teaching artist and storyteller from Austin, Texas. For the last six years, he has worked for Creative Action as a teaching artist, a site coordinator, and a creative learning specialist. He studied directing at Texas State University and Dell Arte International School of Physical Theatre. In the past, he has taught classes on filmmaking, theater production, and comic making.
An acoustic or electric guitar.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This ongoing class is for beginner level guitar players with experience on how to tune and/or form basic chords. All the songs we will be learning are listed in sources.
