Click, hold, and drag the program's title bar to the left or right edge of the screen. Release the mouse button. Open a second program, and it will automatically fill the other half of the screen. Using Snap Assist (Windows 10 and 11): Open one program. Click, hold, and drag the program's title bar to the left or right side of the screen until it snaps into place. Open a second program, and it will automatically take up the other half of the screen. On macOS: Using Mission Control (macOS): Open both programs you want to split. Click the green "Maximize" button on the first program's window to make it fill the left half of the screen.
