Class Experience What Will Be Taught? In this 8-week course, students will master game design and coding by building an exciting racing game in Roblox Studio. They will gain hands-on experience with Roblox scripting, game mechanics, and design principles, providing a solid foundation in both coding and game development. The class is structured into weekly lessons, each building on the previous one to gradually develop a full racing game. How Will You Teach? I will use a combination of live demonstrations, step-by-step instructions, and interactive discussions. Visual aids, slides, and video clips will reinforce learning, and students will follow along with practical exercises in Roblox Studio. What’s Your Teaching Style? My teaching style is interactive and supportive, focusing on engaging students through hands-on activities. I encourage creativity and problem-solving, making the learning process both educational and enjoyable. Clear, structured instructions and manageable steps ensure that every student can follow along comfortably. How Much Will Learners Get to Interact with You? Learners will have ample opportunities to interact with me throughout the course. This course involves the development of a laser tag game in Roblox Studio, which may include simulated shooting and game mechanics that some learners might find intense or unsettling. However, there are no graphic or violent content, and the focus is on coding and game design principles.

Safety Precautions: Learners should take breaks to avoid eye strain and ensure a comfortable and ergonomically correct workspace while working on their computers.
Third-Party Tools: Roblox Studio will be used for all game development activities. An account is required to use Roblox Studio, which is free to create. Parents should assist their children in setting up the account if necessary.
No Graphic Content: The content of the game will be appropriate for all ages, with no graphic violence or inappropriate material.
