Learn French with Ms. Erika in this fun and engaging class for intermediate French learners! In this class, learners will meet twice weekly for 25 minute sessions to improve their French reading and writing abilities. Each week, we will focus on a different lesson and practice reading and writing about that topic. Topics will include my family, friends, school, my house, animals, and more! This class is intended for intermediate learners. Students should have a thorough knowledge of French vocabulary and some experience reading and writing in French. As the teacher, I will guide students through various reading activities to build their fluency. Your child will practice French phonics to improve their pronunciation reading and speaking French. We will also complete a variety of short stories to build reading comprehension skills. Students will practice their writing by creating sentences to describe various pictures. Students will learn grammar and syntax rules to create well-formulated sentences. I incorporate the use of lots of visual aids to help my students learn. This will include engaging slides for the students to follow along. This is a very interactive class and your child will have the opportunity to both listen to a native French speaker and practice using the language themselves. I create a relaxing and welcoming environment where students feel comfortable practicing a new language by ensuring that all learners are included and have the opportunity to participate. In this class, your child will not only gain French language skills, but they will have fun along the way! **Please note that permission has been obtained for the use of all materials in this class, including images, videos, and music.
