The students will learn French by being introduced to French vocabulary words and simple sentence structures. We will be focusing on the topic of “Pain Perdu”, the real French toast. After, learning about “Pain Perdu, the students will make “Pain Perdu. They will follow a recipe and the instructions to make “Pain Perdu”. An adult will need to help or supervise if the student is not experienced In the kitchen. The student will have fun decorating their breakfast plate of “Pain Perdu”. They will share their creation with the class at the end.
Learning Goals
The students will learn French vocabulary words and will use those words in simple sentences. The students will also learn how to make simple and delicious “Pain Perdu” the real French toast.

Parental Guidance
***Allergens : wheat, milk, eggs
*** We will be working with the stove to cook. We will use a knife to cut the bread into thick slices. It is important to have an adult help or supervise the student.

Pain Perdu: -any bread preferably French bread Baguette *the French bread from Publix is great! (Preferably a day old) - cinnamon - eggs - milk or evaporated milk - maple syrup or sugar - salt - butter - cooking oil Topping (of choice): - Fruit (bananas, berries, strawberries) - Maple syrup or pancake syrup - Powdered sugar - Nutella or chocolate syrup You will need the following kitchen equipment: small bowl, fork, bread knife, nonstick pan, spatula, stove, & plate

My name is Teacher Mayra. I am a TEFL/TESOL certified teacher. I have experience teaching English, Spanish, and Basic French. I have experience teaching in a physical classroom setting and online. I have taught at American public schools for after school and summer school programs. I was a homeroom teacher at a bilingual international school in the Dominican Republic. I fell in love with teaching online and decided to only teach online and homeschool my two children. I actually went to Savannah College of Art and Design so I will also offer design classes on Outschool. I look forward to seeing you in my classroom.
