Learn French - Level 1

This class is a French beginner class for learners aged between 6 to 11 years old. 

- What will be taught & What topics will you cover?
In this class, children will be introduced to the French language using basic conversational skills. The topics covered in this class will introduce the learners to shapes, colors, french greetings, vocabulary reading, and conversational practice with the teacher and with other students. 

- How is your class structured & How will you teach?
The class is a weekly one-hour online class that ranges from 3 to 8 students aged between 8 and 12 years old. Throughout this class, students will learn French through songs, games, slides, and assignments that will keep them engaged with the language until their next class. Each class ends with lecture and conversation practice to further students' French readings, listening, and pronunciation skills. 

- What's your teaching style & How much will learners get to interact with you and each other?
In my class, the slides are designed to encourage learners to engage with the lesson, the teacher, and other students. The French songs are purposely used to help learners get accustomed to listening speaking and reading while having fun. Cutting and drawing help the students to include other motor skills that will help make learning enjoyable for the learner.

Any required experience or knowledge learners need?
Since this class is a beginner class, students are not required to know any French prior to this class.

Topics: Greetings & presenting yourself, introduction to numbers, phonetics

2 - Week of October 3, 2022
Topics: The family members, numbers, Letters, pronouns, phonics

3 - Week of October 10, 2022
Topics: The family members, Verbs To be & To have, pronouns, phonics

4 - Week of October 17, 2022
Topics: Writing a letter
