In this class, students will learn with Max the Wizard and his awesome Wizard friends how to use Microsoft Excel while helping make magical potions and train their dragons. Let's cast some spells using Excel, and become dragon riders too.

Assessment

After the session, we will ask for feedback so the students will let us know how comfortable they feel about Excel, what did they like about the class, and how much they enjoyed the whole class.

Class Experience

We are going to navigate through the essentials of Excel, and will make it a very, very interactive class, a lot of clicking spells and magical fun may result from this class! At the same time we will learn:
- How to create tables with dragon potions
- We will prepare spells with formulas in Excel
- How to edit images with some amazing tricks 
- How to edit, color, and make a fun Excel file
- Make a Wizardry Weekly Schedule in Excel to check when to practice your magic.

Our Excel's wizards will select their favorite character and we will make some interactive fun spells in the Excel file. Then we will share the work and help each other in the class as a team. This is a fully interactive class and if you love Wizards and Dragons, then this is the class for you!

Learning Goals

Students will learn the fundamentals of Excel like formatting cells, changing colors, fonts and styles
Students will create tables and enter data 
Formulas like subtraction, addition, division, and multiplication will be shown

Parental Guidance

All images and content will be age-appropriate and with the main theme being magic, Max The Wizard characters will be part of the theme in general.

Supply List

Only to have a Laptop or Desktop (Windows or Mac) that has Microsoft Excel installed, any version from 2003-2019.

*****A few minutes before the class test your file, open it and try to make changes (remove a name or move the pictures) to your Excel file without any errors first***** Also, make sure that you can edit the file by clicking the "Enable editing" feature on top of the file (inside the yellow ribbon) If you are having technical issues with the file before the class starts please let me know, so I can help you first and/or work a different arrangement********
