In this multi-session course, Students will learn and practice writing well developed five-paragraph essays in a variety of styles to include: ACT/ SAT Exam, High School Entrance Exams, Narrative, Descriptive, Compare and Contrast, Expository, and Persuasive Essays.

Is this course students will be taught the art of essay writing. Students will explore the ten following basic academic forms of essay writing: descriptive essay, definition essay, compare and contrast essay, cause and effect essay, narrative essay, process essay, argumentative essay, critical essay, expository essay, and persuasive essay. Students will improve their understanding of the five paragraph essay format and the ten basic forms of academic essay writing.
I have a PhD in Education with a specialty in Language Arts.
Homework Offered
Students will produce a well formulated essay with all of the elements taught in class.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Word Processing program, MS Word, etc. Gmail account/ email for a shared document is helpful.
