Beginner Level
In this ongoing class, learners will be introduced to the English language. This class is for complete beginners. Students will attend one class each week. Each week, students will be introduced to one new letter in the alphabet, new vocabulary words, basic English phrases, phonics, one new color, and one new shape. Beginning English language learners will learn new words through hands on activities, discussion, and independent practice. This ongoing class will focus on basic phrases, alphabet letters and sounds, and vocabulary words. Learners will interact with me and other students throughout each lesson as we complete activities together. This class will be very interactive as students will be producing answers during the class! I will also use props, TPR (total physical response), and learning slides on the screen. Your child does not need prior knowledge of the English language. Let’s make learning English as a second language fun and interactive! I hope to see your child in my class. Learners will need a small whiteboard and dry erase marker or paper and a pencil for each class.
