Class Experience
-Learn the parts of the drum set -Learn proper hand technique -Learn to read music -Play a basic beat -Play rock, jazz or any style on the drum set -Work on school band music -Learn hand drumming -Play your favorite songs on the drum set
Becoming a great musician requires practice. I encourage students to practice daily for a minimum of fifteen minutes.
At the minimum students should have a pair of drum sticks and a practice pad. A drum set is highly recommended. Drum set students are asked to purchase a copy of the drum instruction book "Foundations of Drumming" Link: https://store.bookbaby.com/book/foundations-of-drumming Advanced students may be asked to purchase other books or recourses.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
