Description

Class Experience

In this exciting language lesson, students will practice their drawing skills while learning basic Japanese words!  All while spending time with their classmates who also like Mario!

Please note that this class uses a task based approach to language learning.  As students draw their pictures, they will build an association between the words we are studying and what they are doing. Students will practice their listening skills as they follow step by step instructions on how to draw Mario.  It...

They will need the following items DURING class:

- 1-2 sheets of white paper 
- wax crayons, markers or pencil crayons
- a pencil 
- an eraser
- a thin black marker (optional)

A printout of flashcards for home study will be provided in the classroom.  Not necessary to print before class!

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

This language class uses a task based, artistic approach for learning vocabulary.  Please note that the language (not the drawing) will be the most important part of the lesson.  Students will not learn any specific drawing techniques or skills beyond the guided drawing.
