Let's draw horses! This is a beginner-level drawing course for drawing these magnificent animals. As a licensed agricultural education teacher, I am excited to add some art to class as we learn about horses and create our own. Bring your artsy side, because these horses will soon have big personalities as we play with shapes, colors, and expressions for our horses. This informal class will mostly be discussion-based as students follow step-by-step drawing instructions. It will be educational as we learn and discuss fun facts about horses. Feel free to bring questions! Previous knowledge is not required, but each student should have their art supplies ready before class (paper and drawing tools of choice).
Learning Goals
During class, the teacher will guide the students through the steps of drawing a fun, playful horse.
Each student should finish the class with a fun drawing! More time may be taken after class to finish coloring.

Hello! I look forward to sharing the world with you!

I know many students look for certain types of classes. If you do not see a course based on your learner's interests, please send me a note!
Course topics offered:
- Life Skills
- Animal Science
- Plant Science

- Food Science
- Environmental Science
- Leadership and Professional Development
- Country-focused (learn about particular countries)
I have a passion for understanding how humans interact with the natural world, globally. I love to share that passion and my knowledge with students, as well as look forward to learning about where they come from.
Professionally, I have been a classroom teacher, worked in laboratories in China and the USA, was an intern at a nature center, taught classes online, and worked with volunteers for a national (USA) non-profit organization.
In my classroom, learning, fun, and passion are key. I like to encourage students to show what they know, so others in class may also learn from them. I strive to bring content to students that will be exciting as they learn more about the world around them. I am known for using props, funny faces, and real-world examples in my teaching. If you are able and have the materials, you might be able to do some activities or experiments with me!
Outside of teaching, I love to learn about different cultures (my whole house has an international theme), play with my pets (my family has many), explore off the beaten path, and spend time with friends and family. We have hosted exchange students from around the world and enjoyed sharing our cultures.
I look forward to meeting you in the classroom and having fun together!
