Teacher expertise and credentials
I teach classes related to the language of English such as the following: vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, formal and informal writing and speaking. I also teach various art and project related classes, using the Cricut Machine, in which I teach students how to design clothing and accessories.
I attended the University of Texas at Arlington, and I acquired a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. I am also English Language Arts and Reading (8-12), ESL (EC-12) and Principal (EC-12) certified. I taught English I, at Arlington High School, for seven years, and I have taught English, on-line, for over three years to learners, whose ages range from 5-18, with learning levels, which range from beginner to advanced.
An educator's purpose is not simply to teach learners what to learn, rather, how to learn, by creating multiple opportunities, for them, to acquire essential knowledge and skills so that they can become lifelong learners. English, education and fashion are my passions in life, and educating learners is my purpose in life.
I have a beautiful eight year old son, and we love to watch scary movies, playing with our cat, Max, and playing board games together. When I am not teaching, I design my own and unique clothing, for my e-commerce business, Faith and Fashion.
