Learning about archery is a great way to encourage young learners to play imaginative games and improve gross motor skills. In this class students will learn all about how to shoot a bow and arrow, various shooting techniques, as well as, how to shoot safely. I will have my own bow in the class to demonstrate this. Students will have a chance to stand up and copy my instructions. There will be multiple choice questions throughout the class, and students will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discuss what they have learnt. Hopefully by taking this class the students will want to go out and practice archery for themselves. If they already do so, then this class can help to improve their shooting.

Parental Guidance
Please be advised that the class involves some movement. Students will have a chance to stand up and practise shooting techniques. Please be aware of potential hazards, and injuries that can occur, if not properly supervised.
Supply List
In order to practice some shooting exercises, it would be beneficial for the student to have a bow, or flat resistance band, available for class. Although this is not required and the exercises can be done without these.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I have been an archer myself for the last four years, in England, Thailand and in Cambodia. I really have learnt allot during this time about archery history, bows, and shooting techniques. I can say that I am an excellent shot with a traditional Mongolian horse bow. I often read books, watch films and T.V shows, and even play video games with great archers in them. I am somewhat of a geek when it comes to archery and can talk about it for hours.
