Class Experience

  • Students will learn how to sign some of their favorite Elephant and Piggie Stories. Students will be given a set words and phrases list from the story. We will learn how to sign phrases to sign something we like about the story.
I have been studying ASL for 14 years. I studied Speech Pathology at Towson University and graduated with my Bachelors in Science. I had completed several Courses in ASL and became interested in pursuing ASL interpreting. I attended a 4 year post bachelors program for American Sign Language Interpreter Training. I completed 2 years of my training at CCBC in Maryland and 2 years at Rowan College in New Jersey and graduated with my certificate for Interpreter Training. I worked in a school setting as an educational interpreter for 3 years. I ran a signing program for young learners in an early childhood center for a year. I also have taught ASL signs on outschool for over a year.
