This is a great opportunity to learn some basic ASL signs (American Sign Language). Students will have fun in this interactive class learning a world language with confidence. This short one time class will allow your child to get a grasp on basic American Sign Language and decide if he/she would like to continue learning more about this cool and unique language. Students will learn the American Sign Language alphabet, how to introduce themselves, basic greeting signs, and Deaf Culture. Your child will be able to communicate in sign language with others during our time together. I look forward to seeing you in the classroom!
Learning Goals
Students will learn basic greeting signs, feelings, and the alphabet. This is a great opportunity for your child to decide if he/she would like to continue to learn more about American Sign Language and Deaf culture.

Thank you for enrolling in my class. I look forward to sharing my expertise in American Sign Language. For thirteen years, I was in Deaf Education PreK-12th grade and was an Interpreter for the Deaf. I fell in love with ASL and discovered it was a beautiful language that people find fascinating. If learning a new language has been difficult, I guarantee American Sign Language is the one for you to learn. In this class, we will learn together, be able to communicate in ASL, and most importantly have fun!
